Lewis, Davidson, letters, 1900.

One letter and one postcard addressed to Reverend Lawrence F. Bower. The letter is a brief account of Lewis's 1872 nomination for Governor of Louisiana by the Liberal Republican party and his subsequent withdrawal from the race after yielding to S. D. McEnery. Describes the outcome of the McEnery/W. P. Kellogg election. The postcard inquires if Bower received the letter and enclosures.
